With the end of another month comes another segment of my monthly favorites. I enjoy watching monthly favorites videos because they always inspire me to try something new. I also just enjoy seeing what people gravitate to. So, without further ado, here are some of my favorite things for the month of November.
Book: Verity by Colleen Hoover
My book of the month for November (which will come out in December due to this month’s Thanksgiving post) is Verity by Colleen Hoover. I won’t share too many details here because I’ll be sharing them next week, but I will say that this book had me reading on the edge for the entire 336 pages. It’s a different beat than what Hoover typically writes – romance, but she truly mastered the thriller genre. Be sure to come back next week for an in-depth review on Verity or just go buy the book now because you won’t regret it.

Makeup item: L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara
I have a lot of mascara in my make-up drawer. And I’m just going to say it, I’m a bit of a mascara snob. I typically only buy high-end mascara. Not because I can afford it, because right now I can’t, but because I’ve always believed that it’s a better-quality product. Oh boy, I can’t tell you how wrong I was there. A few of my favorite TikTok influencers shared their holy grail mascaras and low-and-behold they both use the L’oreal Paris Telescopic mascara. This mascara does an amazing job at lengthening my lashes and giving just the right amount of volume for only $10.99. If you’re on the hunt for a new mascara, then do yourself a favor and give this one a try. It has over 51,000 4 ½ star reviews on Amazon, if that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will.
Skincare: Covey Next Up Vitamin C Serum
I never used to be a skincare cutie, but when I hit my thirties, I started to step it up a notch. I came across Covey this year through social media and immediately fell in love with the ease of use. I’m not the type of girl that likes to have a ten-step skincare routine, and Covey’s three-step system was all I needed to feel like I was doing something right for my skin. The company believes in the mantra less is more and that using too many products is actually detrimental to your skin. There are three steps in the system and my favorite is the Next Up Vitamin C Serum. Covey’s Vitamin C Serum includes a form of stabilized Vitamin C that is more powerful than other formulations on the market. It’s super lightweight, not greasy, and has no scent, which I love. My skin is bright and smooth, and I truly believe these products have everything to do with that.

Food/Drink: Olipop
Soda that’s good for you? Who knew there could be such a thing!
About two months ago I stopped drinking soda and energy drinks. I was feeling lethargic, and my anxiety was pretty bad. I figured the amount of caffeine I consumed contributed to this, although you’ll never catch me giving up coffee. And while I still consume some caffeine, I felt a pang of desire for a bubbly beverage. Yes, I drink sparkling water, but something about a sweet, sparkling beverage just hits different. Enter, Olipop. The claims of this beverage are simple — “healthy meets delicious”. I found myself tasting most flavors and enjoying them all. This sparkling tonic is packed with prebiotics and between 2-5 grams of sugar. My favorite flavor is the Strawberry Vanilla.
Tip: Pour your ice cold can of Olipop into a wine glass for an extra oomph! Classy and tasty.

Miscellaneous: Taylor Swift Midnights Album
Taylor Swift's 10th studio album has dazzled us all once again and has held the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 three weeks in a row. I’ve got to say, Midnights has me feeling some type of way. The entire album has been playing on repeat while I clean, while I drive, while I shower, and while I workout. Basically, it’s always playing. My favorite songs have changed over the course of the past few weeks. My current faves are Karma, You’re On Your Own Kid, and Mastermind. The lyrics to the latter two are beautiful. My favorite line from Mastermind is: “I laid the groundwork, and then just like clockwork the dominoes cascaded in a line. What if I told you I’m a mastermind?” I read a beautifully written review about the album over on Rolling Stone so if you want a bit more insight into the creative process behind Midnights, then definitely check out that review.

Shower Things: Method Body Wash Simply Nourish
If you want to smell amazing, then you need to check out the Method Body Wash line. I have almost every scent, and they’re all amazing. My favorite scent though is Simply Nourish, or the gray bottle. The scent profile is coconut, rice milk, and shea butter and oh my word, this stuff is good. Not only does it leave skin feeling moisturized, but it’s also made with plant-based cleansers.
